I can't decide!

I'm looking at the PAM3M vs the Bright Red.

Is the StrikeFire worth the extra $60? I've read very little bad about either one.

Is the 4 MOA dott vs 2 MOA dott a positive or negative?

Size and weight are pretty much the same, 1" shorter to the PAM3M.

Lifetime warranty vs 1 year might be worth the price if they are good at honoring it. Not that my range gun will see much abuse.

Is there anything I am missing?

Thanks in advance for the help! :D

Do some research on the Lucid HD7 and M7. There are a couple good youtube reviews that stack it up against some of the much higher dollar sights.

That's what I use and am very happy.

I prefer the smaller MOA dots; it allows you to be a bit more accurate at further distances.

I also went with the Bushnell TRS-25. :D But I would also prefer the smaller MOA dot, for the reason already mentioned.

I have an HD7 and a TRS-25 and have checked out my friend's PA M3M and it's pretty much a wash between the Lucid and the PA optics for clarity and precision of the dot by my eyes. Both are pretty darn good IMHO. The Lucid seems like it might prove to be a bit more rugged and it seems to have consistent zero between the reticle options (haven't really played w/ anything other than the dot on the PA so it might be good there too). I like the screw in doubler on the HD7 as well. Not sure if that's worth the additional $80 (or $110 w/ the doubler) or so for everyone though.

The TRS-25 is nice and compact/light and the dot is very clear up to setting ~6 or so (plenty bright for me) but it does cover up more target at range than either of the others.

Ultimately they're all good choices. If you're not averse to the larger sizer and weight of the PA or the Lucid, my personal preference would be towards one of them over the TRS-25 for a primary optic.

I went with the TRS-25 and love the compact size, 3 MOA is reasonable for what the 15/22 is in accuracy and shootable yardage. And it's a $100 optic that is of great quality, batteries last forever too. Looked at the Vortex (I have 2 of their scopes and really like them) but decided to go with the Bushy.

Have you considered a micro?

They're everything a guy needs in a dot without the extra bulk and weight.

Out of the two you posted, I would buy the Primary Arms dot. I've never had any issues with their optics. I destroyed a Vortex Sparc in an hour though. Their red dots are poorly designed IMO (scopes are another story).

i have the Bright Red Dot on one of my 5.56 AR's. it has a PA FTS 3x magnifier riding behind it. lower 1/3 cowitness with the BUIS if flipped up. I really like it.
i had the red/green but it was not worth a **** in bright sun. the bright dot solved all of that and is as bright or brighter than my aimpoint but not quite as bright as the EOtech on full.
you can't go wrong with the price since it comes with the mount. the screw in magnifier is pretty worthless though.

I'm up to 3 Primary Arms optics. Can't beat their shipping times and service. Marshal himself is very responsive to questions. I'll be getting the micro dot to add to the collection in March. Great optics from a great company.

Just got the PAM3M really like it brightness adjustable 2 moa and 3 other reticles and fairly compact hopefully I will get to shoot more with it this wknd.

I went with the Vortex. Very happy with it and the ONLY gripe I have is the location of the power button. Plus the lifetime warranty was a bonus.

What about Bushnell TRS-25 vs Primary Arms Micro MD-07 ?

Can't go wrong with either one. The TRS has a slightly larger diameter tube.

I prefer the PA MicroDot with the removable base (I think it's now MD #8) The base screws attach to the underside of the scope so you get a very clean look with a riser.

PA

TRS

I have two PA MicroDot and have been quite satisfied.

Will you be this abusive with your optics? :D

Thanks for the input everyone, it's much appreciated. I stopped by Gander Mountain tonight and they had the TRS and the Strikefire. The Stikefire had a dead battery but the TRS was working. I didn't think I would like such a small red dot, I've always used scopes. I really liked it and was impressed how bright the dot was. So now I have to decide on getting the TRS or wait for Primary Arms to get some in stock. Also need to figure out what mount to get.

If you don't want a quick release i got the high cantilever mount for my PA red dot
