Primary Arms SALE!

Rub it in. I got mine two weeks ago, just the red dot. I saw the add a little while ago and almost cried.:D

Good deal they're offering.

Let me ask you all a question. I was leaning towards a Primary Arms 3x optic, which is about the same price as this combo package.

I know personal preference plays a big role in sights, but for someone that prefers to shoot at 100 + yards would would it be better to buy a dedicated 3x sight or would a magnifier/red dot combo comfortable fill that role?

Black Friday Deals from Primary Arms

Just got my Vortex Strikefire w/ mounts and 3x magnifier for the M&P for $169.00..... not shabby at all.

I heard that the red dot only model has a brighter dot. I was thinking about holding out for that one, but with this sale I'm not sure. What are the differences between this and the red dot only besides the green?

Thanks and happy Thanksgiving!

It is a 4 MOA dot and the only difference between the red/green and the red is the dot color. I love mine so far.

Ahh my fault gang, I mis-read the specs and confused the MOA with another number.

But from reviews I watched on YouTube and Military Arms Channel prior to buying this, the only difference between the red and the red/green is just color options. Same MOA, both also include the 2x screw-in doubler, battery.

I don't know what they normally retail for I guess because I picked mine up for $159 when I got my 15-22 at sportsmans. Didn't say it was on sale. It just said bundle. Mine's the red/green and I compared it to a friends red-only after hearing about the brightness, and I couldn't tell a difference at all. On a side note, you tend to look somewhat rediculous when holding an optic up to each eye like binoculars when you're at the range. Especially when alternating closing each eye...

Thanks for the replies about the differences. I went ahead and ordered one of these bundles yesterday with the upgraded flip-to-side magnifier mount. Seems like a good deal, but I'm new to ARs and not sure if I need all of this for fun range shooting. Oh well, part of the fun seems to be figuring out what is not needed and what is. One thing I do know is that I do not want to pay $400+ for a red-dot....not yet, anyways.

For those of you that have the flip-to-side magnifer mount...I'm thinking that when I don't need magnification I will just leave it flipped over. Does that seem to work well, or do you just unmount it if you know you're not going to need it at the range?

One more question...how tight do you tighten the scope/magnifier onto the rail? Hand-tight? Use a screwdriver?

Thanks in advance!

Look at it this way...you've started a spare parts box :D
I don't have the flip away magnifier, yet. The day after X-mas sale is coming. My excuse to buy another toy after X-mas..just flip it out of the way an go.
As far as tightening it, If shooting a lot of rounds cause it to loosen, then you must be doing it right :D I used a screw driver, but didn't overkill it. I will replace it with a quick disconnect, after I buy a light for it.
I've caught the disease. Don't let my wife find out or she'll quarantine me, my wallet, my sport and my computer. :D
