Private individual firearm shipping with UPS

I hope this is the right area.
If you haven't seen/heard of the change effective 9/1/22 a private individual cannot ship a firearm even to a FFL holder by UPS.
You must ship thru a FFL dealer which will obviously drive up your costs.
I guess FedEx did this a couple of years ago.

It has a lot to do with Thievery. Employee theft is rampant which is why they required overnight shipping; Less time in the system tempting their staff. An FFL Holder can use UPS to ship handguns and there seems to be less thievery.

An FFL can use US Postal Service to ship handguns.

Not handguns, only long guns. Legally, you can UPS to yourself but you have to get UPS to agree.
