I just received a pro core as an anniversary gift and need an optic for it as well as a threaded barrel. I've been seriously considering a leupold deltapoint but I've heard the adjustment system is far from perfect, plus I'm not sure if i will be able to adjust the lock screws with the rear sight in place. Does anyone have any input on this?

I have to say I'm most drawn to the size of the glass over any other red dot especially for the price. I've considered the burris fast fire but from what I read it doesn't co-witness very well.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

How about a good threaded barrel? Currently I'm leaning toward the storm lake barrels.

Thanks everyone!

Just based on availability, I ordered the JPoint directly from the mfg, using the coupon that came with my CORE. For $250 shipped, its a fair price.

Receiving it Wednesday, but I won't be able to try it out until this week-end.

Will post something then.

I too bought the JPoint with the coupon for mine. Very pleased with it and it is the lowest cost unit that you can still see the iron sights through.

I'll have to look at the J point, what do you guys think about adding a manual safety, I'd love to get the Apex trigger to make it more like a 1911 trigger and would like the manual safety for that reason. I'm still open to input about the deltapoint, especially deciding between a 3/4 MOA and an 7.5/8MOA dot. Here is a pic where the safety looks like it might be able to be installed. It had an arrow and an L there.

I have a Delta Point on my .45. It works like a champ for about a year and a half without problem. I have about 1500 rounds down the pipe with it installed and never had to readjust it.

I had wondered about adding a manual safety to my 40c. From what I've dug up, it can't easily be done to your gun. I was told by Apex that the frame would have to be modified & a different sear block installed. Maybe not impossible, but costly.
