This bill was introduced by Marlin Stutzman from Indiana's 3rd
Congressional District. Whenever I read or hear of a new bill that would enforce our Second Amendment rights I want to pass it on to others for their awareness. The bill is known as "Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2015."
Regardless of the outcome of this bill its always encouraging to know that other citizens are concerned about their rights and support this type of bill even though it would only have a 2% chance of passing, and 0% if it ever reached the desk of Obama.

These types of bills are only "feel good" bills so politicians can claim they are standing up for your rights when in reality all they are doing is making it look like they are. They know it does not have the votes and the president will never sign it. So why do they do it? Just so they can get reelected again.

They just run it up the flag pole to see if anyone salutes.

If no one ever introduced bills they wouldn't have anything to filibuster.

Similar interstate reciprocity bills have been introduced in recent years. They generally have a tough time breaking the filibuster threshold of 60 votes in the Senate. In 2010/11 interstate reciprocity garnered 58 votes in the Senate - two shy of the needed 60. In 2012/13, it gained 57 votes: 3 shy.

The HR will move thru the House with no problem. The SB companion bill may reach the 60 needed this time, but it will be very close. Even if it does beat the filibuster and get a super-majority of 60 votes in the Senate, there is little chance that Pres. Obama will sign and zero chance the Senate could garner 66 votes to override a Presidential veto.

I suggest we give credit for trying...persistence pays...sometimes it just takes longer than we'd prefer.

At the very least it keeps the pot stirred. Just my opinion...
