It is interesting how the media spins what happened.

The New York Times says the car aggressively drove up to the protesters and when the "victim" walked up to the car, the driver shot and killed him.

Garrett Foster Brought His Gun to Austin Protests. Then He Was Shot Dead. - The New York Times

What ACTUALLY appears to have happened is that Foster (the protester who was walking around with an AK47) stuck the gun in the driver's face when other protesters were banging on the car and the driver shot him dead. Driver was a concealed carry license holder.

It is sad that the MSM has adopted such an anti-American policy when reporting the news. At the moment, they are siding with anarchist Marxists that wish to destroy America and strip law-abiding citizens of their rights. Their current stance amplifies their ignorance of history, they are helping to usher in their own demise. Sadly, they don't see the parallel between their actions of today when compared to the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917!

With the media, I'm not sure whether it's malicious or laziness. I did a couple of award presentations for heroic or special acts by civilians at horrific crash scenes. I took the time to type up 2 fact sheets for distribution to attending news media at each presentation. One detailed report of the events and one with bullet pointed highlights. Upon seeing the news coverage later on, it was very evident that NONE of the reporters bother to read EITHER of the facts sheets. Pure laziness and obviously didn't even bother to pay attention at the presentations when a synopsis of the events was given.

Sounds like he died of natural causes to me.....if you point your assault rifle at a Texan, he is naturally going to shoot you dead.

The media isn't on our side, they want a certain outcome and will twist and distort the story to fit THEIR NARRATIVE. Everything else is just noise.

It'll all come out in the wash, I'm sure. Just curious if you have a source for this bit of info?

They’re hoping to be part of the ruling class.

This is Media’s mission, they are the Misinformation wing of Marxist Orgs.
The individual personalities on the fake news networks are being paid by Liberal Organizations to twist, spin and lie. These people only got their stardom through attacking Trump. The problem is all the Social Media, internet , TV networks , Movies, Hollywood and entertainment are controlled by the Left. The little that is on radio and Fox is allowed to exist for appearances. Make no mistake they control it. They want to get rid of certain people that will be replaced with pansies.

You aren’t going to hear any high fives for citizens who protect themselves out of these people. They are afraid it would turn into a national movement.

A Bad Trouble

I am a Texas resident and CHL holder. I don't know what happened here. It is a mob scene and everybody is screaming. In all the years I've lived in Texas I've only seen a couple of instances of open carry, but I live in an urban area. If you feel passionate enough about an issue to participate and openly carry an AK-47, you should know and assume the risks. If you drive your car towards a street demonstration, you also know the risks. Don't any of these folks have jobs or families to raise? This is not a "good trouble", at least for me. Nobody's cause was advanced. A songwriter once put it best for me, "When everyone's talkin' and nobody's listenin', how can we decide?"

This is why you should just stay the heck out of places where protests are taking place.

Unfortunately, it's just the smartest thing to do right now because if you end up in a Self-Defense shooting, you will be painted as a villain by the slanted liberal media, then even if you do manage to stay out of prison and aren't financially ruined by it, your reputation will be hurt because every mouth-breathing, bleeding-heart who believes everything they hear on the news will call you a murderer.

So yeah, just stay the heck out of protest zones, okay? Even if you work there, call in sick, take a leave of absence, or just plain quit. Because it just isn't worth the tremendous risk involved, you stand to lose much more by driving down Riot Row than you do than you do if you get fired.

If so, they should go back to school and study history, as it is obvious they did not have history classes in "journalism" school.

Modern day Journalists are rarely well informed on anything. After all, thorough investigation and fact-checking take much too long and you've got to get that article out as fast as possible to sell copies, get the ratings, and trend on Social Media.

I know this for a fact because I once held aspirations of becoming a Journalist, only to completely lose interest once I learned that it's all one big racket, you rarely have any freedom, and you're essentially just exaggerating details or even outright fabricating information for a living.
Unfortunately, I was raised with these pesky things called morals by my Catholic parents, which in turn caused me to develop a conscience as well as ideals of honesty, integrity, and a desire to become a contributing member of society, ergo my approach towards Journalism was horribly misguided, driven by a desire to provide accurate, unbiased information which would in turn serve to educate the masses, so Journalism wouldn't have been a good career path for me.

It is for that very reason that I barely even follow the news anymore because it simply doesn't provide accurate information because everything is written in a huge hurry in the most dramatic fashion possible.
