In response to a thread regarding the prevalence of goods made in China, I hope our fellow Forum members will list consumer goods/products that are PROUDLY MADE IN THE USA.

This way, we have a handy shopping list and do our part to give to our country our hard earned dollars.

Who knows, this might wind up as a sticky so that future members will also be able to avail of our MADE IN USA LIST.

Thank you!

We had a similar thread a month or two ago. Mostly about clothes made in the USA.

OP are you seriously suggesting that I pay three or more times the price of Walmart Wranglers just to buy a pair of jeans made in the USA?

If so, why on earth would anyone do that?

If it was a couple of bucks or so more, sure-but three times or more (much more for some) is crazy.

And, why on earth would I buy an American-made car? I've had American cars, I've been told they are much "better" now, but every single one I've had has been far inferior to the Japanese ones I've had, Nissan and Toyota. If I'm gonna put out 25 or 30K or more for a vehicle, I want it to be good. I want it to last, reliably, long after the initial warranty. And, IME, American cars don't.

I do believe Ford is making a much better product now than they did in the past, and maybe Chevrolet too, but Chrysler/Jeep? Come on!

I'm very conservative, & very pro-US, but to be successfully marketed, at least to me, the product has to be at least as good as the competition and nearly the same in price.

Cars and clothes ain't.

The problem as stated before. even if you see some products on the web site list, the trouble is finding them.

I remember buying high quality items from LL Bean most of it was US made, now even most of their stuff is imported.

I looked on the website of US products, I did not find Craftsman Hand tools, didn't those used to be made in the US?

I bought a Chapman gun smith tool kit which is all US and well made.

I agree with you Straight shooter, after two lemons a Dodge Truck and a Chevy sedan (both new). I bought a Honda and two Hyundai's. Great gas mileage and never did a thing to them other than oil changes.

To answer the OP's question I'll say---Corn. Beans.Pork.Beef I'm thinking it can be found right down the road.

To the rest of you that think "I wont spend 4 bucks on a 2 buck pair of sneakers" well good luck learning chinese. Oh by the way, buy your grand kids (and great grand kids) (and great great grand kids) a nice pair of cheap black PJ's.

Yep made in Cali, then they sent the Fed. Res. Notes (US Money) to J-Pan to be Traded against Yen At about 1.3 to 1------ great trade. How do you feel about fish head soup???

.... How do you feel about fish head soup???

Last night it was Monkey Brains, tonight Fish Head Soup?

The age of making everything here in the states has gone. What we need is the leadership to point the new direction and make it so financially attractive that we lead the world again in something. My guess is that's low impact energy creation options. It takes guts and brains to pull it off. The goal should be to start companies that make stuff, small companies get the most breaks, large companies the least. Tax breaks is where its at.

two of the best lawn mower manufacturers are located in the USA's breadbasket. And that little tomato patch in the background produces some of the best made in USA tomatoes you'll ever put in your mouth. :)
