Just thought I'd let you know Apple has pushed down another update, 16.4, for your I-phones. New emoji's, security updates, yada, yada. Took me about 40 minutes to download and update.

Mine is at 12.5.7 and won't go any higher...

My iPad is 12.5.7, and it is incapable of downloading any higher version. The effect is that it will not receive my Yahoo eMail. My iPhone is updated to 16.4.

Apple have been churning out the updates thick and fast lately. Makes you wonder about the sheer scale of the activities of the bad actors on the Web these days.
Or the quality of Apple's testing.

I'm only interested in the security upgrades. More emojis? Gimme a break! On my iPhone there are already dozens of the darned things. I have neither the time, interest nor patience to scroll through all that tomfoolery.
My gf & I use Skype to chat and the wretched emoji tab often pops up into view iike a small erupting geyser.
Even worse, it seems Microsoft has found a new animated incarnation of Clippy
which appears in the Skype sidebar:Too much kiddy-poo cutesty stuff and "yadda yadda" IMHO.

Nobody can stop all attacks. It's just not possible. The hackers are just as smart or smarter than the average IT guy.
We should be thankful that they are doing everything they can to keep our phones secure.
Agreed. Plus there is the internet equivalent of "situational awareness" for end users.
