PSA - EMERGENCY WATER STORAGE BLADDER FOR TUBS

Local news had a tip I'd have never thought of, fill the washing machine.
Easy enough to remove the agitator, of course having a front loader won't help.

Does it filter out that NASTY city chlorine?

Mike, the water coming out is as neutral as any bottled water I've tried. It is not for letting it sit for emergencies, gotta keep it flowing. Used to take the recycle out every other day for plastic water bottles so this is an improvement in a "green" sense. The city water here is so bad the .gov used to send out warning letters a couple times a year about its' hazards. They quit that because "local . gov" complained, I reckon. Joe

We have a well & a 16KW propane fired generator. Not many hurricanes here but we do have power shut downs & snow.

I have a well and a 8750 watt generator. Will run the whole house except for HVAC. So we too are GTG.

At our boat club on Clarks Hill Lake they FORCED us to go on city water and shut down our big well. City water sucks in smell and taste. No telling what kind **** they put in it. We now bring well water from home.

In another life I repaired and rebuilt swimming pools on the side. When I filled one with city water. It ALWAYS had some type of brown contamination in it. Could have been rust or trash. When I filled one with well water the water was always sparkling clean.

Some of you city folks might be drinking "Camp Legune" water today and not even know it.

AND chlorinated water makes TERRIBLE iced tea.
