I had that problem with mine using Winchester ammo. Ruger told me to avoid Win ammo. I use CCI mini-mags with 100% success rate. Lee

CCI Minimags were not as bad as other ammo, but I still had one to two failures to fire per mag using them. It was much worse with other ammo. At a minimum, half of each mag failed to fire with bulk Federal and a couple other brands before installing the kit.

Sometimes service techs just have to have an answer even when they don't really have an answer.

My LCP 22 runs great on bulk Winchester. My SR22 chokes on it. Not saying yours can or should run on Winchester. Just sometimes customer service has to proffer some sort of answer.

My LCP is 'tuned' for CCI Mags, LOL. I would almost feel comfortable placing a head-shot at 25yds, IF I had to....it's spooky.

What is 'tuned' mean? Did you file the sights and reblue or something like that?
I just bought one and it's still sitting in the safe. I'll let my 12yo Son wring it out soon. He's been saving his Spaghetti 'O Cans up.

I've been thinking of dremeling down the thumb safety so it can't be accidentally activated and also removing the mag safety while I'm at it (OH, THE HERESY- QUICK, PAGE A KAREN)!!!
