Mocked up the Vortex Scope and 3" extended mount bought from ebay .Barely made it back far enough for eye relief may need shorter mount. The high mount rings included with scope would not clear flip up sight and handguard. Bought the PSA Dissipator style upper because of the good price guess should have got a railed upper instead .

I've never been happy with the cantilevered scope mounts. I usually use a picatinny riser block and low rings or extra tall rings, which ever works with the scope best.

I don't know sitting here it looks a little funny , it needs A2 lower or send it back for a rail upper . I really don't need a third rifle rarely shoot the two I have.

Yep and the cost of a handguard and gas block approach the cost of another budget upper. I made a similar mistake.

This is the setup I use for my dissipator...works very well.

Just something to look at. The PSA dissipator is not a true dissipator upper. Which is a rifle length gas system cut back to a short 16" barrel. This is a "mock" dissipator and there is a low profile gas block with a mid-length gas system hiding under that handguard. If you wanted to you should be able to change out the handguard to one with a full length rail. You can either leave the front sight base in place or remove it.

Seems like a lot of scope for a 16" gun. I'm a great believer in 4x scopes on rifles with less than a 20" tube in any caliber, but maybe I'm the guy out of step with current thinking. ;)
