They only give it away once, and it's been a long time since I heard of one being given away. I think they spend a billion on papas and postage.

I have just always assumed those "everyday people" winning the big prize and celebrating wildly are just paid actors. It's like saying that an elliptical board that you lie on for 20 minutes a day will cure all your back problems. Pay people to swear it has made a huge difference in their lives. Some people will believe it.

They give away very little money.
They serve as the model and heros for folks from Nigeria, Ukraine and other scammers.
