A couple of days ago, I recieved a call from a guy at a local dealer from whom I've bought a few guns. He said they were cleaning out the backroom and came across a S&W blue box for a 439 with "all the stuff in it." He added that included a magazine. Since he knows I'm a S&W auto guy, he asked if I wanted it. I told him I didn't have a 439, but I like all free gun stuff that comes my way. I then asked if it was blue and he said yes.

So, are the blue magazines hard to come by? My blue 3rd generation pistols all have stainless steel mags.

DD... Yes, they are!!

I just ran into that with a NIB 559 I bought last month. The only readily available blued magazines are the aftermarket pro-mags, which I hear are hit & miss for reliable feeding.

I'm salting away these unused factory mags and getting a Stainless 10 rd 59 series mag to use for shooting.

So I'd sure jump on the freebie with both feet... asap before he changes his mind.
