I have this Model 14 (no -) from ~1958. It has a target hammer and wide target serrated trigger. I'm thinking it likely came with target stocks, but without springing for a letter I can't be sure. What are the odds this thing came from the factory with target stocks?

target stocks

Good question, I think most came with magna, Most 14s I see at shows etc have magna and If you are interested in having a correct box for your 14 you'll notice that there are way more boxes designed to fit the revolver with magna grips than the deeper boxes that came with target stocks. Yes I realized some came with the stocks dismounted in the box with the revolver. but I think that was special order before the deeper boxes were available. Just my guess.

Does the gun have original magnas? If so are they numbered to the gun.
I’m preaching to the choir here, because I know from your posts you know these answers.
More than likely if it was a full target gun, someone kept the target grips.
The other side of the coin is someone added the target trigger and target hammer.

I currently have some period correct magnas on it. That's code for they are not numbered to the gun. On the other hand I have a real nice set of walnut targets to go on it. Nice walnut K targets are hard to come by. I guess to fully answer my question I'll have to get that letter. I do appreciate the responses.

Keep in mind there is no correlation between TT, TH and target stocks. A lot of K-38s shipped with TT and TH and Magna stocks. That was a very common configuration in the nd to -3 years.
