Has anyone been to the Paragon Casino and Resort in Marksville Louisiana?

Same question about the Coushatta Casino in Kinder Louisiana.

We're supposed to meet some old fiends at these places and I'm wondering if they are safe to go to and spend a night?

Any info will be appreciated

Best I could do was check out the websites as I am sure you have already done. Paragon's site appears spotty. Also, I question a casino where inexpensive dining options are closed or are open only reduced hours. Coushatta's website is more substantial. As an inveterate casino guy, I might hesitate to choose Paragon.

Kinder wuthout a doubt. Marksville was pretty bad years afo when I had a seminar hosted there. Kinder has a nice golf course, a good steakhouse and a lot easier to get to than Marksville. Steer clear of Cypress Bayou.casino. Unless you like penny slots and no table games to speak of. Kinder is the only one that has poker.

I've never been to the Paragon but I would not have any hesitation about Coushatta. We've been there several times. Though we mostly stayed in the RV park.

We like casinos for stops in the RV on the way to some place else. They are usually very inexpensive and have plenty of amenities. Stay a couple of days, get some laundry done, maybe catch a show at the casino, eat at the restaurants....we don't actually gamble.

Instead of gambling I can spend less buying a couple of hand cut steaks for the grill, get a bottle of 12 year old single-malt, and light a cuban cigar with a $100 bill. I enjoy that a lot more.
