Questions on my 681 no dash

I own a Smith and Wesson 681 .357 no dash "M" for recall with with the serial numbers 88742 behind the cylinder door and AEN5938 on the bottom of the grip. I'm wondering what you guys can help me with on as much info as possible. The serial number forums are quite confusing and I can't find my serial number there.

The number on the bottom of the grip is the serial number. The number on the frame is the frame number used during production. The"M" stamp shows that the gun was modified for a recall on early "L" frame revolvers.
