I have been reviewing my inventory this winter and have been trying to decide which handguns should stay in the "permanent" collection.
Both my wife and I are long time shooters and while it may show our age, when we attended Gunsite, our instructor was Col. Cooper. He was the one who turned us into 10mm fans and we have collected a number of examples over the years.
We have a pair of lightly used model 1006's that were hand selected for us by a friend who lived in Birmingham, AL. These guns were stamped BPD so I assume they were LE trade ins from Birmingham PD. They could stand a re-bead blast and a close inspection, but the mechanical condition seems to be excellent.
Who would be a good source to have these guns "freshened" up and perhaps lightly tuned. They are great fun to shoot and are a excellent caliber for protection in the back country.
