Not sure if this is the proper place to put this but...
I have a 2" 317. It's an 8 shot and no one makes a speedloader for it. I got two of these 10 cartridge quickstops whichare similar to a bianchi speedstrip. Anyone have any suggestion on the best way to use these; one at a time or two at a time?????????????

The best way to use a speed strip is to lineup two-cartridges at a time and peel the strip away from them. You only need to insert them partially into the chambers. You will learn how far with practice.

Tuff Products suggest when using their QuikStrips to start the first two cartridges at the “top” of the strip into the chambers and then to peel the strip away to towards the “top.” After that insert the next two-rounds and peel the strip away towards the “bottom” of the strip. Keep loading two-at-a-time by peeling away towards the bottom of the strip. It seems to work slightly better this way instead of always working towards the top.

I then discard the strip (regardless if there are any rounds left in it) and return to the target. Ideally you never leave live rounds behind, you always retain them. But if you are in the middle of a shooting you need to get your weapon ready and up on target as quickly as possible. If the situation allows you to, recover the live rounds but pocket them away from any other full speed strips that you have on you. Partially loaded strips go into a different pocket, same thing for a partial magazine.

Also, practice loading your weapon (SAFELY) using snap caps, and hold the weapon up about shoulder high. You need to look at what you are doing but you need to keep your head up and eyes downrange where the threat is.

Practice does not make perfect. Only perfect practice makes perfect.

I have an LCR 22 that I shoot in BUG Division in our Clubs Defensive Pistol match. Shot it today infact.
The Tuff Products Quick Strip Model 1022 is a 10 shot 22 Quick Strip. The ammunition is spaced too close together when loaded with 10 rounds to use properly loading an 8 shot 22 revolver. What I do is load it with 7 rounds in pairs, leaving a round out between pairs for cylinder clearance.
This is what the Quick Strip looks like loaded in this manner: XX-XX-XX-X
Until we bug Tuff Products enough for them to make an 11 round 22 Quick Strip for us 8 round 22 revolver owners, we can only load 7 rounds in a hurry with one, and index the empty chamber under the hammer when we close the cylinder.

This same manner of loading a Quick Strip also works better for 38's also.
5 Shot J Frame loader with a 7 shot Quick Strip: XX-XX-X
6 Shot Revolver loaded with an 8 shot Quick Strip: XX-XX-XX

Having a space between pairs really speeds up ripping them off in the cylinder. The 22 Quick Strip loaded in pairs provides great practice loading with the quick strip. I find I can reload my 22 faster than I do my LCR 357, of 638.

Another thing to consider. When you use a Quick Strip properly for a Tactical Reload you need to drop the quick strip on the ground after the reload is completed. ORANGE ones are much easier to locate then BLACK ones on the ground after the reload.
