Looks like the NFL is showing fans of 2 cities where they stand. Follow the money!
Next in the stadium game $ 2 billion stadium? Or maybe $3billion??
Maybe the movies, Rollerball, Hunger Game, Future ball, 1984, etc. were not so far off?

This was a foregone conclusion when Kroenke bought the Rams. Everybody was made to believe there was some "voting" that went on to re-locate. Poppycock. The NFL used the threat of "We'll move your team to LA if you don't build us a new stadium" to get 20+ billion-dollar stadiums built by taxpayers with minimum cost to the owners and NFL.

I, personally, feel that RICO charges ought to be brought against the NFL and the owners for racketeering and fraud. The first stadium project here, and the one proposed to keep the Rams here now, was purely extortion.

End government funding for sports franchises that are privately owned or at least limit it to no more than 25% of a project cost.

The Green Bay plan should be mandatory for all pro sports, owned by the local folks.

I lived in STL during the last hoopla. Well we got the Rams because LA did not support them or the Raiders. I had one employee who always signed up for IT training in LA during the football season. He was a Chiefs fan. HE said you can walk up to the ticket window before kick off and get seats about anywhere. Most of the time there were more red Chiefs shirts than black shirts in the stands.

Mr Stam the flim flam man had reportedly wanted to go to London with the Rams. Thinking he may be covering that base here. A few years in LA, London is ready and he packs up again. Why don't cry LA fans we brought you the Chargers to have while we are in London.

Just glad I'm a lifelong Chiefs fan. I liked watching the greatest show on turf but now feel very sorry for Midwest Rams fans, my grandson is one.

I agree, public funding for entertainment venues is wrong.

Unfortunately, big city politicians don't get huge campaign contribuions, their name in the papers, and a cush job after leaving office for doing mundane things like ensuring adequate water supplies, good roads, balancing budgets, lowering taxes, providing public safety...,

In short, their jobs.
