What kind of bag (to those who take one) are you using to take to gun range?

Ive been thinking about buying a new bag. Currently using an old jobs school backpack that needs replacing.

Anyone use a UTG bag? I would like one to match my rifle soft cases (have one thats black, and army digital)

Curious what kind of bags everyone uses.

I bought and use an iShot range bag. If I had to purchase one now, I'd check the heavy duty (many pockets) bags at Home Depot, LOWES or Sears. The costs are far less and they will serve your gun stuff well.

I have several range bags that I use... depending on whether I'm going to an outdoor range or an indoor range. I have two rifle bags (one single and one double), two pistol bags (one soft side and one briefcase), several ammo cans, and a Lowes bucket bag that I use to carry ammo and magazines. I also have a couple of those Maxpedition murses  that I'll use if I want to pack in somewhat more discretely...

For the money, the Midway USA range bag is nice. They run a sale on them several times a year. I got mine on sale and used coupon codes. I think it shipped to my place for $30.

MidwayUSA Competition Range Bag
It's the same as the 5:11 tactical bag that costs three times as much, but it doesn't say "tactical" on it.

The zippers are quality and the material is thick and won't rip or tear with normal use. It doubles as a nice rifle rest for AR type firearms. You just leave it unzipped and drop the mag inside the bag. It comes in three colors. Black, tan, and green.

Depends on how many guns you take and what you do at the range. Whatever you buy dont buy junk to save a few dollars.

I have this bag as well as other cases from this company.

ACTION PLUS SUPREME BAG

They cost more than some, but are made to order and you can pick the color. They also allowed me to change the configuration
of the bag to suit my needs. I was able to add some velcro pouches and change the size of the magazine holders.

Also made in the U.S.A.

Another vote for the Midway Bag I have 1 & it has Tons of Room & seems to be decent quality at a good price.

Only firearm I have is my 15-22. Soon to be a M&P 15 in Feb. So what I usually pack in my backpack is earmuffs, targets, cleaning kit, staple gun and other misc items. So I'm guessing a large bag would be to much for my items. Everything seems to pack into my backpack ok, just need it a littler big larger but not 2 much..I'm a complicated individual lol

I was pretty skeptical about the Midway large range bag because of what I thought was a low price. It concerned me that the quality wouldn't be that good. However after buying one, I can't imagine being without it--it's just super in my opinion.

I was looking at the Cabela's digital camo range bag

Another vote for the Midway bags--I've got both the large one and the compact one, use the smaller one as my weekly sporterifle bag, the large one is great for pistols, plenty of room for binocs or a scope inside. The large one is almost too big and can get pretty heavy with a lot of ammo. But terrific quality, and right now looks like both are on sale--they are a true bargain at the sale price. For $35 you can't beat this:

MidwayUSA Compact Competition Range Bag

I actually use a field medic kit as my range bag. Holds 2 bulk Blazer boxes, eyes and ears, and even a couple of mags no problem. Matches my the rest of my ACU stuff and only $10 at the local army/navy.

My free LA Police Gear BOB is my favorite for indoor range use... Ron

I'm toting an old Dell laptop bag, holds two revolvers, ears and eyes, cleaning cloths and couple boxes of ammo. I ripped the guts out of the bag to make more room and it works real well. Looks good too.
