Brought my new 4" model 22-4 with my 4" model 586(no dash) and my 3" model 629-6 Talo. All targets set at 14 yards.
First up is the 3" .45 ACP model 22-4 with Hornady XTP+P 230 grain loads:
.45 ACP S&W m22-4 - YouTube
Then the .45 again with Magtech 230 grain FMJ loads:
.45 ACP S&W m22-4 - YouTube
Then the 3" .44 Mag 629-6 with 240 grain Magtech FMJ 44 Mag loads (I threw 3 shots into the 'C' zone
):
.44 Mag S&W 629-6 Deluxe Talo Edition - YouTube
Finally, my favorite Smith 357, a 4" 586 no dash with Fiocchi 158 grain Hornady XTP loads:
.357 Mag S&W m586 - YouTube
The .45 ACP had more recoil more than my 1911s but not overly so. I would equate it to a .357 magnum K frame gun. Its not near the level of recoil as my 3" 44 Magnum. I really love the model 22; it is definitely going to be my new EDC for a while!!
