As I said yesterday I took my "new" M&P snubbie out for some exercise today. It shot very well, comparable to my actual new Colt Cobra. Considering the differing in the sight picture between the two I was pleasantly surprised.
After shooting I detail stripped and very thoroughly cleaned it. It had almost zero wear inside, still blue on the pin bosses and under the rebound slide. The only actual "work" I did on it was to take out the Dremel tool and a cratex wheel and polish the rebound slide on the contact surfaces. The only odd thing was it was very difficult to get the hammer spring out. The hook at the bottom end was very tight in the hole. I replaced the spring with one that went in and out easier and was a tad shorter overall length.
I like this thing well enough I am going to try to find a smooth case-hardened trigger for it. Rapid firing the grooved triggers does not agree with my finger tip.
