Took my son to the Public Range day before he left for Fort Hood. We had fun trying to shoot a smiley face on the target at 50yards, winner, well no one, fun, way to much in just trying, smiles, had by all. The M&P again with CCI Tactical work 100% no failures of any kind. I don't really like 50 yds with the 22lr but I can adapt. Going back on my day off work and zero in all three rifles at 50yards. Here is a pic of my son, shooting my AR15, and me in the foreground shooting the Tacticool M&P 15/22, as you can see I am using the Vortex StrikeFire with 2X adapted, it really helped the accuracy of the M&P, although it cut the field of vision down,...Enjoy.

haha my son and I try to do the same thing he's almost done it.I enjoy the time I get to spend together doing something we both enjoy he' 13 but he out shoots me all day long video games paid off for him. Good to see other people enjoying family fun together......

Jsha22lr, it is worth it, very strong Red Dot for a 22lr. Easy to adjust and zero. One draw back, the on/off switch is on the left side mounted in a soft rubber shield, although it is now recessed, it still can be pushed to the on position in a soft tactical case, but that is all I have as a negative on this optic. I like it very much, and at $149 it's a good price point. Also look at SightMark Red Dot, it is only $79 and works well.

I have Aimpoint ML3, Vortex SF and SightMark, and like them all. The Aimpoint only is on the AR15 for defense, the rest just paper bad guys. I can't justify putting an optics that cost more than the rifle it's on, but if you can afford it, go for it. Good luck...

Good to see you enjoying range time with the family. A family that shoots together stays together.
