Back to the range to shoot more CCI Tactical. Over 500 rounds, No FTF and no FTE for a third time. Also ran about 150 of Winchester 555 with same results. Now, cleaning well not a problem, used Tetra Lube to coat the bolt and breach. Here are two photos of the bolt after 650 rounds..See for your self. CCI Tactical, clean powder... Tetra Lube, helps prevents burnt powder from sticking and makes cleaning a breeze..

Thanks all

We were at the range from Noon to about 3pm. I just shot as much as I could to see if I get a FTF or FTE, it just worked and worked. The powder burns just came off with a towel some scrubbing was needed on the bolt face. But Tetra Lube is great, it gets into the metal at a microscopic level and prevents the powder from sticking. I recommend it fully. Also I recommend CCI Tactical and the Winchester 555. I'm amazed on the performance of my M&P, I guess I got one made on a Tues.... Keepem in the X ring...

You won't believe it but I shot about 100 rounds at 50 yards all in a 8" black ring, this weapon is accurate with a 4X scope. I have the photo on my cell phone and have to figure how to down load it. I'll do it when I'm back home this week. Thanks.

Hello, get yourself a hoppes bore snake, thats all i use, one pass is all you need to do, i clean my riffle every 5 to 8 hundred rounds and thats all i do for the bore, upper and fcg get a good cleaning of course, but the barrel is a breeze, pghrich, bty all i use is cci blazers.

I'm confused, that looks just about as dirty as mine was after about 750 federal rounds, some cci, and some thunderbolts. Do yours get alot more dirty? Got any pictures of a filthy one?

i'll post some pics after my next trip to the range. mine usually looks a lot dirtier than that after 550 rounds or so of federal or remington bulk.

Oh yea, ran some Federal and Remington (Rem.not good at all) when just purchased and the bolt was dark gray from the front and about 1 1/2" to 2" back. Also the bolt was hard to clean stock. After I Treta Lubed it, it cleaned up easier. I don't even own Federal Ammo anymore just CCI Bulk and CCI Tactical. I do have about 550 of Winchester left and when that's gone, no more. I will only use CCI Tactical, it's clean and performs very good in my M&P.. Of course your mileage may vary.... remember it's a 22!

Wow...Very impressive! That's what mine looks like after 20 rounds :D Hmm...might try that out some time. I still have Froglube to test out but I did want to get Tetra gun grease for my new revolver.

Yea i really don't like remington ammo but that's all walmart had at the time. How much is the CCI bulk? I can get federal bulk for just under $20 a box. If the CCI bulk is close to that I'll have to try it out.

Dang, man. I dunno about Missouri but my local shops are cool and CCI Blazer 500 or 525 box under $20 is very easily :) One shop likes to do $14(mostly bigger sale events)-$16. Even the Big 5's around here do $18 or so. I love, love, love CCI Blazer. It's my go to although I should keep trying out other ammo as well.

Yup, I run a Boresnake to clean all my ARs from 5.56 to 22LR. But onece a year I do a real good scrubbing with a rod and patches.

The CCI Blazer, here in California at Big 5 go for about $19 to $20 per bulk box of 500. What makes the CCI Tactical different is the copper plated bullets instead of the Bulks lead. Also the Tactical is 1200 fps so I guess a tad less powder from 1235 fps of the Bulk. The Tactical was designed for Semi-autos just like the M&P and it works great.

And the CCI Tactical is inherently the most accurate load in my 15-22. It figures...$0.06/round. I'll still give her a steady diet of the Federal 550's when I'm just plinking, but I REALLY like the CCI Tactical.

+1 on the boresnake, its so much faster.

Yea everyone around here jacks the prices up and tries to rip people off as much as they can. I get better deals on AR ammo and accessories online than I do anywhere around here, even after shipping costs. Thanks for the info though I'll have to start getting the CCIs if I can get a good price on them.

Just wanna chime in the Tetra Lube Aceman58 used in this post

WORKS awsome.......

Ran thru about 600rds on Sunday... and she wiped clean with hardly any effort

Try the stuff Guys... Youll Like it for sure

Stavman11, and don't stop there, do all your handguns and AR15s if you have any. Tetra Lube is a great product for shooters. About 10 years ago, the demo was a Steel 1911 45 cal. coated with Tetra Lube, wiped down, placed in a clear container of water. The guy took it our, shook it and the water just ran off it never sticking to the gun. Now I won't do that, but this stuff does work.. Keepem in the X ring.

Might be true but real world testing shows it is not near as good a rust protector as Eezox.
