My MP9c had the magazine disconnect and when I did the Apex duty kit I could not get the trigger bar timed very well. I was getting light strikes with Fiocchi 115gr which apparently is relatively common. I cleaned the striker and striker channel. I replaced the rear sear housing with one that lacks the magazine disconnect. The timing issue seems resolved. I also bought a Storm lake barrel for it as Optics planet had a sale on them.
Off to the range I went. I was shooting at 7 yards indoors offhand. This time I had one light strike and the primer was clearly dented with Fiocchi 115. I switched to Fiocchi 124gr and they were perfect. I shot the stock barrel first had some decent grouping. I replaced the stock barrel with storm lake and the grouping seemed to tighten up some. I then thought hmmmm let me try the stock barrel back in just to compare again. This time I shot the 10 round group in the picture below. Clearly there is nothing wrong with my stock 9c barrel! The storm lake provided no clear advantage. It did function perfectly.
