guys like charlie were not only born with a silver spoon in their mouths but also a silver straw.
a true story about charlie that a now deceased friend told me around 20yrs ago. my friend was on vacation in colorado and he went into a gunshop to look around. inside the shop was charlie sheen buying up every n.i.b. colt single action army that was to be had including engraved models and ivory gripped models. now as many of you probably know, charlie's dad martin is a dyed in the wool anti-gun hollywood liberal. i don't know if dad approved of charlie's taste for colt s.a.a.s or not but it wouldn't surprise me if dad didn't mind charlie owning handguns, just not us common people.

It seems that Charlie was born with a silver straw up his nose. Addiction is a very sad thing, no matter how rich and/or famous you may be... For the sake of his family, I hope he can pull it together before he kills himself, but I doubt he will.

He is an addict. If he does not get help soon he will likely die. The only difference between him and thousands of others is that he is a celebrity.

I heard Sheen's rant about his producer on the radio the other day.

He actually said, "I don't sleep. I wait".

Who the hell does he think he is, Chuck Norris? :D

His father Martin milked the Hollywood System for all it's worth. Then it was his son's turn. Anti gun all the way. Don't know much about Charlie, Never watched the show. But he showed his butt lately, that's for sure.

The product of a liberal, pampered, sheltered, hedonistic upbringing resulting in a sense of royal entitlement with no sense of shame or responsibility. . . .

yep - that about covers it.

Two and a half men is one of my favorite shows, but Charlie has aged considerably from last season to this and I believe he's lost some of his comedic edge, but it's not surprisng considering the abuse he puts himself through. He is in denial and he just bit the hand that feeds him.

One day he will look back and yearn for a time when he was healthy and pulling down two mil an episode....and that time might not be too far off. He thinks he's ten feet tall and bulletproof....but bigger men than him have been brought down by substance abuse.

Brian~

He isn't a roll model or civic leader, he is an entertainer. He is quite popular, and makes millions (if not billions) of dollars for his employer. CBS is out of their ever loving mind to cancel his wildly popular show.

If (not saying they shouldn't) all pro sports, stage, TV, and Screen owners and producers fired all their idiot celebrities, they would all go broke soon.

Like someone once told me, "You aren't out to romance him, you are out to do business with him".

CBS needs to find a manager that can manage this asset, pay him well and make money off Mr. Sheen.

To get help, you have to WANT help.
There are people a lot worse off than Mr. Sheen (or Lindsey Lohan) who want help and seek it out.
Both of these people have some serious issues that they seriously do not want help for and as such, are doomed to catastrophe for either themselves or someone else. It may be ego or the publicity such behavior generates or a mixture of both but the end is the same.
I consider them suicides in progress. I apologize if this offends anyone, but I do not feel sorry for either of them. They made their choices and must live with the consiquences of them.

Look at Robert Downey Jr.

He got into even MORE trouble than Charlie Sheen, but, after setbacks, he cleaned up, and has a thriving career again.

It CAN be done....but I doubt if Charlie will be able to do it....until he's so far gone, he's become unemployable, even if he DOES clean up (or clean out...whatever).

My bet is that Charlie OD's. Soon.

It's harder to do with cocaine than heroin, (...cough... Robert D. Jr....cough....) but Carlie seem VERY determined to do so.

No great loss to the world.

2 1/2 Men CAN be VERY funny....but hey: it's a SITCOM, not an award winning movie, or TV series (West Wing).

Charlie is FAR from the actor his father Martin was.

Charlie Sheen is that worst possible combination: An arrogant, rich addict. When he isn't high, I suspect he's an insufferable nitwit.

That wild rant the other day was bizarre! Right now, he strikes me as someone who needs a serious checkup from the neck up...

You guys got it all wrong...didn't you listen to Charlie's radio interview?

He said he's all cured of his addictions...he did it all by himself and it only took one hour. He simply used his willpower...end of problem.

Seriously...he said that.
