Has anyone had any experience with these new High Powered Batteries from Ray-O-Vac? I use a lot of AA cells and I find they can become very expensive! The prices on these seem to be very competitive and I understand they are made here in the USA. Thanks!
....Duracells, but haven't tried them yet. I usually stick to those but you right, they are EXPENSIVE. I'll try the Rayovacs soon, because we go through batteries around here like toilet paper.
I use the Rayovac Recharge batteries. I have been using them for about 3 years now and they hold up very well. I have 8 that I rotate out of my ATN X-Sight when I am yote hunting.
I buy batteries whenever I can. I bought a package of those and now have 2 in my mouse and also 1 in a small light. No problems so far. I have had good luck with other Ray-O-Vac alkalines in the past.
I've got several sets of Sanyo Eneloop rechargable that work good and then I buy the off brand alkalines that Menards and Rural King often run for around 15 cents each in bulk packs. Menards just had a deal on 60 AA or AAA for $6.99 per package of 60.
I use the eneloops in my cameras and the throw aways in radios/led flashlights as they don't use much juice and seldom need replacing.
I use rechargeable envelop pros for high drain stuff like my Surefire Titan Plus. It also allows me to keep a fresh fully charged battery in it rather than relying on a flashlight with a half dead Alkaline after use. Other than the envelop pros which are pricey, I use cheap rechargeable for my Apple mouse that is otherwise an Alkaline battery eating machine.
Alkaline are good for TV remotes and stuff like that which lasts a very long time. I would't pay a premium for Alkaline batteries for that kind of low drain device.
