RCBS answered my initial questions. The reply to the powder measuring system: "The powder system is no longer available. You would have to get the case activated powder system that we use on our current progressive presses part #98911." This was immediately followed by an email from MidwayUSA with a link to part 98911, cost $89.99.

It does not appear this includes the plastic container that you put the powder in.

I have at least a dozen more parts identified that I do not have, most of which are related to the "case detection system".

At this point, I am questioning whether it will be worth the cost to make this reloader complete and operable. What do you guys think? Considering ordering the RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme Master Reloading Kit for about $300.

I suspected as much.
The case activated powder system does NOT include the powder measure. It only includes the base and linkage to make the powder measure work. Like I said on your other thread, you won't find the parts to make your Ammomaster complete from anywhere else other than RCBS. I think you are on the right track with locating a Rock Chucker. If you don't have any of the other items needed (scale etc) then the master reloading kit may be the best bet although there are dozens of used pieces of RCBS equipment on the many auction sites.

I'm sorry to hear this, Glenn.
In hindsight we should have waited until research was done to see just what was needed, would've saved you a long trip. If nothing else, keep the dies because you may end up going to a .45 auto one day.
All I ever used was a single stage press, didn't know what to look for to make yours work. Bummer for sure. :(

My Ammomaster came with the plastic tube but the drop was in-operable. On good advice from a friend, I got the Hornady case activated drop system. Was about $80. It's worked flawlessly for me. Consider it a good deal since I only paid $200 for the press with tubes and a bunch of shell plates.

You already have a good solution. Another would be the Dillon case activated powder measure. It may be a little more expensive but is very complete (you'll need the powder through piece dedicated to the cartridge too). I just didn't understand what you were looking for.

The outer/lower frame of the Ammo master also can become a massive single stage press, capable of even 50BMG. That long arm gives it lots of leverage, to work the progressive or work really big cases!

If you want to go really cheap get a lee auto disk or drum with a powder through die from them and load away. I've done it on a Dillon 450 and rcbs piggyback. No issues. On the other hand I used Hornady case activated linkage and a uniflow on my lee turret. I like to spice it up in the reloading room. ;)
