Well depending on how RCBS handles the change they made, it may be the first black mark I place on the company. Out of sheer kindness, I printed off the rebate form for my brother. Who as some may know recently purchased a RCBS Pro-Melt furnace from Grafs. Since it qualifies for either the $50 Rebate or 500 Free bullets ($14.95 S&H). The newly added wording on RCBS's rebate form was a suspicion I had when I sent in my own rebate a little while ago. Newly added is the following statement.

*We are currently experiencing high demand for our products. Inventory may be limited. We reserve the right to
issue a cash rebate in lieu of bullets; in that event, the customer’s shipping and handling fees will be refunded.
RCBS "Bucks or Bullets" Rebate

I don't see any problem with that at all.
They're honest and affected by shortages the same as anybody else.
I know they're owned by ATK(?), but its possible that the rebate doesn't get first call on new production.

Sorry mi amigo, I see it differently.

To me they are being open and honest. I saw the same thing when I submitted my rebate form a couple weeks ago. One way or the other I get free cash or bullets. Sure I'd rather have the bullets but if they ain't got any it's still a win!

I can understand their predicament and appreciate them updating the form. Hoping they will honor my rebate, where it was submitted before they revised their rebate form. If they send back the rebates for both, might have to combine them and have my father buy a new 9mm mold--so he can submit for his rebate.

Be glad that they are still offering rebates. Rebates are an enticement to get customers to buy product they normally wouldn't. Right now the customer does not need additional incentive.

You should get your bullets I would think. Not sure when you submitted your rebate form but I submitted mine online on 2/22 and just got my 9mm bullets delivered last Friday.

Ah I see Novalty's concern - when he submitted the rebate form the cash option wasn't stated and he's worried that they may return it with nothing.

My guess is you'll get bullets or cash like the rest of us even if the rebate form is old.

Can't get blood from a stone. If they don't have bullets and bullets won't come available pretty soon then there isn't much they can do about it. Sometimes reality is a kick in the short hairs. None of the current pricing or availability seem fair but then neither is life.

I'd understand the reality of it, just would prefer the bullets that's all. Looks like the wording states they will refund the check sent for S&H along with the rebate if they can't fill the bullet order.

Lookie-lookie! I sent the rebate on March 6 and this came today!
