Can someone tell me what size decapping rod assembly I need for a 45ACP carbide sizer? I emailed RCBS but got no reply.

I ant to use it on my Dillon 650 and need to decap in the sizing die, my die set expand and decaps in the 2nd die.

You may have a very old RCBS sizer. If so it will not have a radii mouth, for production (fast) loading that is necessary. If you need a new first die (size and decap, I would suggest a Dillon. They are great with cast bullets, as you can take them apart to clean without removing from the press! I use my Dillon 45 ACP sizing die for both 45 ACP and 45 Colt (Long), it will also work for 45 Auto Rim, 45 GAP, 45 Schofield and 45 US. (and the rare 45 Winchester Mag.)

May as well get one that will do double duty!

Get decapping pins too, other brands don't fit.

Post #2 has correct stem, but is missing the bushing. Never buy RCBS parts from MidwayUSA. I usually get free parts from RCBS.

This is really simple. My 1980 RCBS 45 ACP carbide sizing die has a large entry radius. A knurled bushing with a 7/16" - 20 TPI outside diameter with a 1/4" - 28 TPI internal tapped hole fits in the top of the sizer die. The decapping stem is 1/4" - 28 TPI external threads with a large decapping pin. This decapping Assembly is a standard part from RCBS with bushing, stem, pin, pin retainer, and stem lock nut.

They used to have beak downs of their dies and you could get the part numbers for what you needed. Before they have always sent m what I needed, this time I didn't even get a reply.

I called a couple of weeks ago and they sent my a new pin and stem for .45acp. No charge!!!!!!
