Re-Finishing Matte surface?

Has anyone sent their revolver back to get refinished with the "Matte" finish, glass bead blasted?
Just curious on the quality and how it affects the S&W Logo stamp and Manufacturing marks on the sides of the frame.
Please post some pics if you can.
