Rear Sight Adjustments

Is the adjustments on S&W Revolvers Rear Sights different on pre-model #s than the later Revolvers ?

As far as I know, the new style micrometer click rear sights all adjust the same. The older sights on the pre-war guns are different. Once in a while I’ve bumped into a new-style sight that doesn’t want to adjust and I’ve had to take it apart to see what’s wrong with it.

I found out that once you find a screwdriver tip the is the "Correct" size and
fits into the slot

They generally can be adjusted.
