Hey all-

Im looking for a moderately priced bipod for my 15-22. I want it to mount directly onto the picatinny rail and obviously be long enough to make sure the magazine doesnt touch the ground/table when shooting. I see a lot of bipods but dont know what specifically to look for to differentiate the good from the bad. Any recommendations you guys can give would be much appreciated! Thanks!

PS, the picture is the current look and setup of my 15-22.

I have a UTG Rubber Armored Full Metal QD Bipod that I picked up for $50 on Amazon. Works fine on the 15-22 with its limited recoil, not beefy enough for a 5.56/223 AR. Height extends to 8.5" so it is tall enough to clear a 25-round magazine.

Just looked online and im seeing the same one for about $40 to $50. Seems like its a good one for the 15-22. Thanks very much!

Harris is around $100.

The thing about bipods is that they can be quickly swapped from one rifle to another. If you buy a cheap one now you may end up buying a Harris for use on centerfire rifles. Buying a Harris to begin with may end up saving money as well as avoiding headaches with cheap bipods.

I have the harris bipod that I move around between rifles.
Recently purchased a Sinclair F class bipod :D on sale for long range comps. Harris bipod is now used solely on M&P's.
Harris customer service is also great.

I agree on buying a Harris. Just make sure to get the proper length for your intended purpose. The initial price may sting a little but that other junk falls apart anyway. My rifle was set up as a display model and came with a utg? What a piece of junk.

I got this one off amazon same thing my stepdad paid $100 for at our LGS. I've let a few guys at my club try it on there guns, and liked it. They couldn't believe I paid so little for it. Buy a Harris (always a few on ebay). They are sturdy and will last. I like the swivel option, if you go that route there is an after market lever that really makes it easy to adjust. Harris to a rail is going to require an adapter of some kind. I personally like the American Defense QD bipod adapter.

HARRIS, I have one I use on my Remington 700 police in 308 cal.
Very sturdy, come in different configurations so go to their website and decide which one will fit tour your needs best. You can find them on ebay or Amazon or buy directly from company.
