Hello,

New poster here. I just purchased a slightly used M&P .40 with a Crimson Trace laser grip installed. Before I bought this gun, I was thinking of using my SA XD-45 for my concealed carry gun. Upon buying the "Smith", I decided to go with it instead. (It prints much less than the bulky XD) Here's my question. Does anyone carry IWB with a Crimson Trace? What holsters would you recommend me to use to where this would not get in the way or damaged, etc. Thank you for any info you can give me. Chris.

Chris: I make holsters for the M&P .40, including IWB style. I'm sure I can accomodate the CT Laser. Let me know if I can help. e-mail address in profile, click on my username to view.

I have the M&P40 with the crimson trace grips. I use a Milt Sparks Versa Max II. They have a huge lead time to make them, but it is great.

I just got the Versa-Max II that I ordered last summer for my 5" 629. It was well worth the wait.

M&P, if there is a holster that interests you, an e-mail or phone call to the holster maker should answer questions of compatibility with CT grips.

Excellent! Thank ya'll so much for your input... I'll definately look into your suggestions... Chris

I don't want to hijack ur thread,
put Im looking for my first gun
and im torn between the MP40/45 or an SA XD.
I like the SW but every dealer and 'mill about' in the gun shops always say go XD

since you have both what are really the differences?
Sorry for hijack again but I don't know where else to post this question

my choice for the compact 40c holster

Ive found that the best holster for the M&P 40c with Crimpson trace is the Galco brand. I found it to be very good fit. If your gun has a thumb safety, you cant use the safety because the holster has a moisture guard on the inward side close to you. It fits perfect with the CT laser sight. Cut away dont even touch it. Hold my pistol in place well. Even upside down. Read my review of it or follow the link below.http://www.amazon.com/Galco-Triton-Holster-Compact-Right-hand/dp/B003E8TZOW/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1300326180&sr=8-11

Chris, I have the same set up as you do, i.e. .40c with CTC grips. If you are considering kydex, I highly recommend Personal Security Systems Kydex Holsters. I've been nothing but happy and satisfied with mine http://smith-wessonforum.com/concea...l-security-systems-pancake-kydex-holster.html
