Hi,

I'm looking for recommended slings for newly purchased M&P15 Sport II OR rifle. I have standard everything on it including handguard and stock. I'm not sure what types of connections it supports for a sling and don't need anything fancy. Though I hope to expand my experience to more in the sport rifle arena, I'm new at this. Thanks so much!

To eliminate any doubt as to sling mounts on your gun, it'd be advisable to post a pic or two of your gun showing those mounts.

In the interim, the internet is saturated with sling pics and recommendations. You will then run into cases being made for single point, 2-point, combo, etc.

My 2 cents. Unless you are standing guard at a gate, blockade, etc and never expect to move your body, I'd eliminate single point. Single-point slings have rightfully earned the status of "ball-buster", as in busting one's testicles when attempting to move quickly.

In addition, single point slings have the muzzle pointed at your feet/legs. Violation of safety rule #2.

Those who then fasten the sling to their gear, make themselves vulnerable to being flung about by whoever might get their paws on the rifle.
