In the past Kroger had items sales quantity push

"BUY 5 AND GET $1 OFF!"

Not This Week!

"BUY 6 AND GET FIFTY CENTS OFF!"

Buy More and Save Less.

Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people.

Hy-Vee is always pushing buy 2 twelve packs get two free. Of course the cost of two is 20% higher than four was just a couple of years ago.

Signs in a bar:

Sign out front, HANGOVERS INSTALLED AND SERVICED.

Over the beer taps, BUY ONE BEER FOR THE PRICE OF TWO AND THE SECOND WILL BE ABSOLUTELY FREE!

Over the urinals, (John Wayne photo) STAND CLOSE PARTNER! THAT AIN'T A WINCHESTER IN YOUR HAND.

Discounts are lessening in all retail food chains, BOGO has become buy 2 get one free and Kroger buy 5 coupons offer very little savings recently. Cost of groceries is outrageous.

The grocery industry operates on a profit margin of pennies per case. Some are still selling boneless chicken breast for $2.99 lb just to get traffic in stores. Trust me, they are loosing $ on this. The libs will have you believe it’s corporate greed. When In fact it’s operating cost. Salary, overtime pay because nobody wants to work, health insurance, diesel and transportation cost, liability insurance, taxes etc…..,, the list goes on and on. It’s like reverse trickle down economics. It’s trickle down inflation.

Yesterday we saw hamburger marked down to $4/pound. Not so muchz that it is a ridiculous price, but I am seeing increasing amounts of marked-down meat in the supermarket coolers likely because many have stopped buying meat due to the high prices. We have.
