When did the hammers and triggers so marked first appear? Thanks in advance.

I believe it was on K and N frames in the mid-late 1930s...someone who knows for certain will be along shortly.

Not a patent notice on mechanical design, but for the color case hardening process.

Thanks Jim and Lee. I will be posting more on my old .38 M&P Target owned by an un-named Philly police office in the 1920's/1930's. Hopefully I will come up with the officers name. To me it is a fascinating gun. The officer who owned it was a very discriminating man. Or maybe he was just picky.
