Rereading things it is a lot easier to get uniform results with a 6 cavity mold if you close it with a 2x4 as a level base. By that I mean set the mold halves on a 2x4 and close it gently. For some reason that helps in making sure it is done the same every time and that results in bullets of a more uniform diameter. Checking for small lead drops on the mold face is a given but i cut rejects down with a Lee 6 cavity by following that simple trick.
