I just got some coated 9mm 115 bullets. Will be using Bullseye and Power Pistol. Most people say to use lead data to load but I do not see any data in any of my books on 9mm 115 lead. I searched here but no one said what they were using. I checked the Alliant powder web site but found nothing there. So, I need a starting point and something to compare it to. Thanks

The Lyman 49 & 50 manuals have lead data for the 9 mm. Not many of the big bullet manufacturers are making lead bullets any more hence the lack of their published data.

If all else fails you can use bottom loads for jacketed bullets.

I have that book but it doesn't list 9 mm 115.

I hard cast and coat 124gr and I use plated load data which has workout fine. I'm sure it would be fine for 115 also and isn't hjard to find.

The maker of my coated 115gr RN bullet had it with a OAL of 1.10"
Bullseye started at 950fps and went up to 1180fps with 32,000 CUP.

Their 125gr was listed at a OAL of 1.06" and I tried it at 1.12"
but the 1.06" did better and could get up to 1173fps with HS-6.

Stay safe.

small ball

Small ball won't work in anything over 1.06". Round nose or SWCs do great with longer OALs.

Coated hard cast bullets can use hard cast data, which has some pretty tough loads. The coating just makes them better and almost immune to leading. Actually I have NO problem with leading at high velocities.

Looking at Titegroup in the Hodgdon website a LRN 115 grain bullet can be pushed as fast as a Gold Dot JHP. Again, the coating is just as good as jacketed. At least the Hy Tek that I'm used to using.
