I haven't seen Remington .45 Auto Rim brass available in a long time, many years, though maybe I overlooked a source. I bought some from Powder Valley ( I think) well over ten years ago. I've bought Starline since and it works fine.

Thanks, have more than a lifetime supply of brass. Was just wondering if Rem officially discontinued making the brass and rounds? Am more than slightly out of touch with factory rounds.

Besides Buffalo Bore, only found two manufacturers of 45 ar rounds. Bout $62 or $70 per box of 50. Thats over $1200/1000 rounds.

Like all other ammo it was hard-impossible to find during the madness. Buffalo Bore makes some hot loads.

I have several hundred cases and two old boxes of factory ammo. For the most part I just use .45 ACP brass in revolvers. Have plenty of full moons.

Over 1000 rds 45 AR completed. Am guessing HUGE savings over buying what few factory rounds are available, even with current prices of brass, powder, primers and bullets.

I load AR brass to, hate moons. I'm looking for a cast Target style bullet of 180 - 230gr that I can buy mold for. Don't like the APC bullet presently using.

I've had good results with the SAECO #069, a copy of the H&G #68. This design is about as accurate as you'll find for the ACP or Auto Rim; about 200 grs. cast of wheelweight alloy. There are other #68 copies available by various mould makers, but I'm not familiar with them.

For light loads am using 200 gn lrnfp. Also use them for 45 acp and 45 LC.

Can certainly appreciate that. A lot of my revolvers are sighted in for 200 gn loads, (44 special, 45 AR and 45 LC) and some required sight changes. These are mostly just for fun guns, but also have 200 gn jhps for them. But if wanting to use a heavier bullet, usually have one already sighted in for the heavier bullet.
