Would like to know what a 760 Remington pump carbine in 30-06 would
be worth these days? Gun was made in late 70's near the end of the
760 production. Seller said it is in excellent condition with sling swivels
installed, but no scope. Asking $550 cash or trade for other guns.
Are these guns bringing this kind of price at this time?? Thanks!

They are an excellent gun. A friend of mine has a late 60's version he got after he came back from Vietnam, even had his good conduct medal inlaid into the right side of the stock. He killed deer (BIG deer) with it every year that I can recall. He reblued it twice and redid the stock twice. He preferred the carbine version over the rifle. I can say I agree. As far as prices, $550 is too high. I would say $400-$450 at best. They are a nice gun though.

Sounds a little high, but they are a fine gun. I had inherited this one from dad. He shot his last buck with it at 87 years old! I had it in the safe for 7 years and finaly got around to shooting it off the bench last year. I got a pleasant surprise! Accurate more than I had supposed, light and fast handeling. Mine is in 30-06.

I have three of them.A 63 model 30.06,a 68 model .270 and a 75 model .308.All great shooters and wouldn't take premo price for either one.that said around here they bring from $250-$450.$550 is more than I'd give for another one.Would like to fine a nice .243 though. If you look on Gunbroker, the 06 seems to be the main one to be selling. There's a 223 on there now for $2400.00.No takers though.

Loud

Howdy,
I have never owned one but I have hunted with a buddy who owns one.
Neat as they come but I remember it to be loud.
I'd like to have one.
Thanks
Mike

I have the 760 in 300 Savage and 7600 in 30-06. Excellent hunting rifles and far more accurate than one would expect. A completely different animal from the 7400's. I too suspect the 760 in 30-06 and without a scope would be worth around $400.00.
