Got one for about $639+tax from Cabelas with the 3x9 Vortex scope, haven’t had it to the range yet, but I did move the scope to the rear position in the mounts. Leveled the rifle, then the scope after that. Anyone have one that can tell me about accuracy? I’ve got 300 rds loaded with 4895 and 55 gr Armscor FMJ. Been pretty cold here in WV. I’m sure it will shoot better with quality bullets and perhaps another powder. What’s your load? Thanks guys and gals

For powder I like H335, H322, WW748 and Varget depending on the bullet and rifle.

For primers I swear by Fed 205M for most things but Remington 7 1/2 are the ultimate primer if the load is at full power, they tend to get a little erratic at lower pressures.

Most any brass of any one brand is fine as long as it is all trimmed to the same length.

In Projectiles you have almost a hundred verities to choose from! For normal varmint hunting I like 50 grain Polymer tipped bullets, but HP are always a good choice. These have proven good for twists from 1:14 to 1:9. In 1:9 and faster boltguns I like 75gr. Hornady A-Max (Discontinued) & Berger 77gr. Match HP with Varget powder.

Your 55gr. FMJ are great for plinking at paper and soup cans! And a great and inexpensive way to get to know your rifle.

Would like to amend this. Paid about $339+tax, not $639! At that price I’d have been THE guy who they saw coming!

Whew!! Thought you really WERE going to be that guy!!
That's a much better price/deal :D

I have one in 223 and 308, but sadly haven't had them to the range yet. Have loads with Varget, BL-C(2) and CF223 already loaded to try.

Yup, typo. However, I’ve still been THAT guy more than once. Shameful. Honestly, I think we’ve all been there, IF you want it bad enough, we’d pay the devil. Don’t deny it!
