Remington Bucket O Bullets quality?

It's like any other ammo - try it and see what happens instead of depending upon the Internet. :)

To me..

Remington bucket of bullets and quality do not belong in the same sentence. For my 15-22 at least. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me :)

I donno, the Goldens I bought recently seem to work just fine in 15-22. Never had a failure to fire ion the about 700 I fed thru it so far.
I did have some that felt weaker when fired, but it still cycled.
My wifes Ruger Mk3 will have a failure to ignite about every 100 rounds using the Goldens. Maybe the 15-22 wacks the primer harder? I donno.
Either way,I would buy them.
Will reserve my Federals for comp days, when I know every round must be accurate and must go off when I squeeze the bang lever.

A little off topic, but I am considering a Kimber Rimfire Target later this year. I believe it is like your conversion kit, just with the lower included. Is it very picky about ammunition?

As long as you use hotter stuff it works fine. Its a slick set up to allow practice with less expensive ammo.

Bucket of Bullets

I bought two buckets for my wife to use in her Browning Buckmark Contour pistol. They work great for her with no issues. I clean all the guns, so dirty is not an issue for her...Ha.. I'll take all "bucket of bullets" that that nobody wants...

I don't know if these are the same but I had a gunsmith and former competitive shooter tell me to stay away from any and all Remington .22 ammo. Personally I buy the Federal bulk (no problems ever) and some CCI in my 317 that is my wife's.

You know whats funny? We sit here and type in what ammo we think is best.
When 22 LR seems to be short supply and we are still being picky?
Buy what you can and consider yourself lucky.
For the most part, most of us are just plinkers. We shoot cans, maybe some paper.
Hopefully we dont rely on our 15-22 as a home defense weapon so if we have a none fire every now and then? Just jack the slide and try again.
Message is, when ammo choices are small.Buy what you can.

Yes, ammo is getting a little harder to find. At today's gun show they were selling the buckets for $65 each. That's for 1400 rounds. If you can find Walmart Federal 550s, they're priced at just under $20. That same $65 will buy you over 1650 of those. For the guy buying at $55, it might not be as bad a price comparison. Do the math at price per shot. I certainly wouldn't pay a premium just to get the bucket.

I just went to the range today and picked up the last box of remington golden bullet 525 pack. They worked pretty good in my 15-22 all cycled and no problems. Some of them did sound a little different than others but it did the job.

If you watch someone else shoot yer gun using the Rem Goldens, some rounds produce a good amount of smoke from the receiver. They still went bang.Might have been a extra amount of Cow manure rem thru in there as filler.
Joking of course, but some rounds are pretty smokey.
I seem to get a LOT of grit in the action as compared to other brands also. No biggey especially if thats all I can find or have on hand.
