Remington dates of manufacture???

So I found the whole B-L-A-C-K-P-O-W-D-E-R-X code to date a recently acquired Nylon 66 AB and I'm confused. The first letter is the month, second the year. The code is clearly stamped "JPR" but there is not a "J" in BLACKPOWDERX... The year for "P" indicates 1967, but they also started serial numbering the barrel in 1967 with serial numbers 40000 through 419011. And in 1968 they ran 419012 through 473710. And mine is 437XXX...

So '67 or '68 or what???

Remington A+

E-mail Remington on when it was made. A couple years ago I e-mailed Remington to help date an early pre model-11 Shotgun based on Brownings long recoil design Auto-5. They started making them in 1905 and mine was made that year. They got back to me in 24hrs with the info based on the serial number. I was surprised and impressed by their response. A public Thankyou to Remington.
