I am very happy with this Remington model 1875 revolver. It is in 44-40. It is a first model. You can see it of the frontsight. That is the type used on the model 1863. Later models do have a blade frontsight. The condition is very good with a good bore and blanc cilinderchambers. I am not intend to shoot it. It is a part of my collection and a nice piece of American Old West History.
From the model 1875 just about 30.000 are made. Serial number is 65. Nice, but the revolver is build in batches of 1000. No idear wich batch these where in. In the US only the Indian police recieved the Remington model 1875 in .44-40. The revolver is also ordered by Mexico and Egypt. Never expected to own one.
