Remington Model 7

So I dont know if this is the right place to ask this but this community has helped me alot so I thought I would give it a go.

My grandfather just gave me my old remington model 7 243, is there any way I can make it use a box clip instead of having to load them one at a time?

I doubt it. Maybe with some very expensive custom work.

I realize the convenience of handling a separate magazine. Remington does make a Model 700 in that mode. But I doubt that the Model 7 can be practically altered.

This is mainly a hunting rifle. It isn't intended for sustained high rates of fire.

If it's the current Model 7, that rifle should have an internal magazine that holds 3-4 rounds besides the one in the chamber. It sounds like you've been loading single cartridges? If it's some early Remington model, you're probably not going to be able to make a magazine rifle out of it.
