Ole Joe Clark
Absent Comrade
I was able to remove the "sliver" of wood from the dovetail joint on the neck of the bass. It had wood glue and epoxy in the joint.
I remembered that I had some razor knife blades and a small hammer. I started driving the razor blades into the glue seam, moving from a .010 thick to a .024 thk blade. Started using a wet wash cloth and a hot iron to see if the glue would soften. Got a blade through all of the epoxy, and the rest of the glue seam. One last steaming session and it came out.
Now I need to sharpen some chisels and see what step 2 brings.
Thanks for all the suggestions.
Have a blessed day,
Leon
