I bought this last month after seeing it on a gun auction site. I used to have a M19 years ago and wanted another one. It looked pretty poorly/neglected and I thought a little TLC would bring it back to life. I won the auction and picked it up for what I believe was a fair price. Upon closer inspection it looked like it came out of a PD Evidence locker. There was some surface rust and minimal pitting on the exterior and the innards looked horrible. The wooden stocks appeared to have some sort of tape residue on them that would not come off. I took it home anyways knowing it needed a new home.
After a thorough cleaning and refinishing the stocks it looked much better. I would like to introduce a "new to me" 19-4 that I am proud to own.
