reset for M&P thumb safety

I'm looking for a way to improve the reset on my M&P w/ thumb safety. I'd like the reset to be a shorter and more noticeable. I understand the Apex RAM kit won't work w/ this pistol. Thought of installing the AEK trigger and hard sear, would that work?
