Residential Dumpster Rental Rates???

ha, ha, ha!

Here, you can rent a 10 yard or 20 yard (or bigger). Rental runs about $200 per week plus $200 for pick-up. Extra days are $25 per day=Additionally, over-weight fees can double rental fee. You may need to get permits for parking the dumpster (Extra $). Many materials may not be allowed, so you'll still have to pay extra to have them hauled away.

We looked into it and it was terribly expensive but I don't remember how much. We cut the scrap wood up, will sell sinks, windows & doors, etc. at a yard sale. The rest went out a little each week all winter long

Cheaper (paying for weight not volume) to load up your pickup and take it to the dump. Locally it's about $41/ton. I brought 12 loads, full longbed Silverado overflowing, to the dump with a remodel and empty of 2 houses. Cost about $125. I did fill 2 100 gal city trash bins also about a dozen times but that's "free" (with payment of the utility bill). Dumpster is about $400 around here. Joe

I'm confused; but, I confuse easily.

Why did you NOT just search for dumpster rentals in Birmingham, Alabama, and call them???

Donny...You watched "My favorite dumpster" too! ;)

I learned more than I ever wanted to about the carting industry with that series. They got rid of a lot of things including trash in that series.:)

Thanks for all the help!!Actually I did not call the local folks because I knew I would get better answers here!!!!:D:D:D

Why rent? Do what I do-sneak down to the hardware store dumpster in the dead of the night :D

That's a valid point. If you rent a dumpster, be prepared for the contents to "grow" overnight. You can't get a dumpster around here, without finding a sofa or refrigerator in it, the very next morning.
